I may make myself sound snobby this time, but I'm not "domestic" type when it comes to automobile. But I actually like how those 1970's domestic cars looks like Those remind me my childhood dream about this country. But these days, cars - domestic or foreign - no longer look that different.  It might depend on where you go, but I see more Japanese/Korean cars, and domestic no longer look that different from those from Asian manufacturers. After all, I'm not a car person. So, I should not make any judgement here. For may daily use, I have to stick with Honda Civic to save some money. Mine is actually Hybrid 2016 model, still in pretty good condition. I just had to replace IMA which was pricey. But that's about it as far as what I had to pay except regular maintenance like oil change, etc. Anyway, my dream car is Tesla Model 3. Let's see how much I can save before it becomes generally available in 2017?

You know why it took me longer this time to share this video? It's final episode! I didn't want to admit that there is no more episode for this series. :( But I'm sure there will be another series featuring Sung soon. We'll be waiting! Uh... another opportunity to see Sung in person missed. I knew about this show earlier. But I had to make a hard choice of passing this opportunity. I really envy for those who get to see him there. I'm adding more interest to my wait, so my next encounter to Sung should be even better. I must search more photos from this show on instagram and other photo sharing sites.

During today's live show on Facebook, he said, his favorite actor is Gary Oldman. I didn't know! He also answered many questions from his fans via Facebook comments, but many of them were about cars. I don't blame, but I'm just not that into cars. I'm just dreaming my next car being Tesla Model 3. But only if I save enough down payment for it in next 2 years, I suppose. Hope my car remains functional until then. Another thing he shared during today's live Q&A is that how many potato chips bugs he finished during Tokyo Drift and why Han kept eating during the movie. He said, Has was supposed to be smoking all the time. But it'll have a bad influence for kids. So, instead, Han had to eat. Eating snacks make him looks like an "observer" making sure that he takes care of everything/everyone. Just like you watching a movie in the theater eating pop corns. That is slightly different from what I heard in the past from unknown source. The version I heard is like this. Sung was keep shaking while on set because he just stopped smoking. Justin could not keep Sung focused without giving him something to eat. So, Justin let Sung keep eating snacks even when he is not on set. He just had to eat. Which version is true? Another fact is that Sung ate Fugu fish while he was in Japan. Was it during Tokyo Drift being shot? I wonder how many times Sung has been to Tokyo and if he had any chance traveling outside Tokyo. I'd be happy to be his tour guide. He once asked me about Ultraman Theme Park. I still don't know where it is, though.

But it looks like a big show and may be very hard to bump into Sung there. And it's not confirmed he will be there. I've seen him attending many automobile related shows. So, it is highly likely that Sung will be there. But if he got an offer for a big role in Hollywood, then, he won't make it.

After everything reviewed, I gave up on participating this event.  :(
But then, I realized that I don't have to be so depressed by this. Why? Because most likely, there will be a lot of pictures tweeted, facebooked, or instagramed with a hashtag, #sungkang after the event, assuming other fans like me shall take a lot of pictures during the event! And even though I won't be there physically, my heart shall be there. May force be with me. (Wrong usage!)

Yes! I love this movie. It's actually the best among his works, I think. I do have 2 DVD -- one with Sung's autograph as a collector's edition, the other with no autograph and to view more casually. Anyway, I am a huge fan of this movie! Needless to say, I really hate to pass this opportunity!

Is there any chance I can make it? Financially, my emergency fund might be used. I just checked a round-trip flight with rent-a-car at $548. It's not simple, but not too unrealistic. Time off from work? Hmm... very tricky. But I just need to take Wednesday off, I suppose. But with red-eye flight arriving in the morning of Thursday, I cannot come back in business until around lunch time...

It's a really tough call because I was just promoted this month. Being a new manager and managing six subordinate, taking time off with such a short notice while some others are also out, does not make me look good.  :(

But if I miss this opportunity, I may need to wait another 10 years until I get a chance to see Sung in person again!

How can I justify this? I need to check with my hubby first...

I think my love to Sung is the deepest! It reaches out to the core of the earth! In fact, I don't mind him losing hair like this. (I may have shared this video in the past, but hey, who cares)





You know, I've seen many Korean American guys since I came to the states about 20 years ago especially after I started working in Norther VA. But I've never seen anyone cooler/nicer/funnier than Sung. It's actually not limited to Korean Americans. But among all kinds of people I met, Sung is the best! I just want to say thank you for being so super awesome for such a long time for us.
