Everyone's favorite

I suppose it is not a new photo, but glad to see someone post it on his instagram account recently. It is also very good to see his comment, "One of my favorite people." I think that is exactly how he makes us all feel like. He treats everyone very well. I wish I know how to treat others like he does. But it may be too greedy for me to say that I want to be everyone's favorite.  :P

Family-friendly

 https://www.netflix.com/title/80994666

I enjoyed watching this kids' movie because there was no brutal scene involved here. I recently watched a few other shows which were meant for kids but a lot of brutal scenes there. I guess we don't need to see anyone get hurt for the movie to be entertaining. As I get older, I feel my tolarance for burutality is getting lower and lower. I no longer enjoy movies that are nothing but a series of shocking/brutal images.

Season's greeting!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and excited about this holiday season. Though there have bee so many challenges since early 2020, plus, there is no guarantee for things get better next year, I'm so grateful that I can still relax at home with my family members (mostly cats, though) so far. It's also great to see Sung is doing well and having a good time with his family members. Thank you for sharing good times with your Daeji like this.

Getting older together

I just saw Sung's latest post on instagram and wondering if he started dying his hair. I'm as old as Sung, but haven't started dying my hair yet. I guess I'd better thank my dad for good DNA...(?). I didn't see his gray hair until he becomes late 60s'. So, hope I don't need to dye my for next two decades.

Vamos!

Sung looks best when he is seen with an orange car like this.

I started learning Spanish since earlier this year. Though I don't live in California or Texas, I guess it's not a bad idea to be able to speak (or at least be familiar to) Spanish. I wonder how much Sung can speak/understand Spanish.

I recently watched a couple of random series on Netflix. While the main story is going on, I happened to see some old American female characters having Latino lovers. Then I realized, maybe I'm getting ready to find one for myself as well. lol. Or is it a very common dream for an old female to have a young cute Latino lover? Oh well.

Why Dae Ji?

I may need a new assistant...

Thank you for sharing a lot of photos and stories lately. It's really good to see that you are living at your fullest despite COVIT19 and all. I especially like it when you share your moment with you Dae Ji. His name remind me my old episode -- I once asked my back-then boyfriend, "which animal you'd pick as the one that represents me?" I was hoping to hear "bunny" or "kitty." At least, something like "squirrel" or "racoon." But his answer was, "Dae Ji." I was like "¿What does that mean?" -- I didn't get it right away because I'm not a Korean. I was still hoping to hear some "cute" animal. But then, he said, "Dae Ji means pig." I was soooo disappointed and also regret that I asked such a silly question. In fact, I was pretty mad at him. "Why couldn't you pick something like bunny?" I guess he is just not a type of person who can say something other than what he'd actually pick. But later, I realized Dae Ji isn't too bad. We eat Dae Ji Gogi a lot because we love it. After all, the back-then boyfriend is my current husband. It's been almost 20 years since he said that to me. lol~

Dog person vs. Cat person

Sung started showing his dog-person's side lately. While I have grown up with dogs with me when I was a child, I'm currently a little famous cat person. I feel like we have been so divided by some criteria like this. But we don't have to be either dog or cat person. If you like a dog, you are more likely to like a cat as well and vice versa. But we kind of like to be categorized sometimes. How many labels can we have? Besides being a cat person, I'm probably Sung person. lol.

Opportunities for new normal days

While Sung has been very active on SNS and we are very happy to see him doing his stuffs -- cars, cars, cars -- it's also good to see the list of his works in IMDB growing! I can't wait to find out more about them.

I'm also grateful for these SNS time because I can easily follow whomever posting something about Sung with simple keyword in instagram. Below is probably fairly old one, but I haven't seen this and I really like Sung in this angle. Keep them coming!  :D

I think life is boring if you are not in love. It doesn't have to be someone, but it should be something that keeps you get going no matter what. For Sung, "car" must be it -- or probably top 3.

For me? Sung is one of my life-long obsession. I wish I have more things in common with him and can see him somewhere in person sometimes. Well, we are still alive and should be around for another a few decades, hopefully. So, I keep dreaming. Someday in my life, I get to see him again. I can even wait until our next life, too. I'm not in a hurry.  :D

Celebrity Tax?

So, I've been pretty actively online since 1998. There was no SNS nor smartphone back then. I even didn't have my cell phone until around 2000. I remember my very first bulky cell phone with a very small display that shows only caller ID. Even my 2nd and 3rd cell phone, the display was fairy small. So, it wasn't 100% of people who was only daily. I haven't done any fact-check, but it was probably less than 40% people who check their email inbox or get any kind of text message daily. Back then, online bully was not something we talk about or worry about. But I was a bit early when it comes to being online and sharing my "update" because I signed up for a free homepage service where I use calendar feature to link my comment -- I guess that was a primitive form of blogging. And I also had BBS to accept comments from random people. I didn't limit my audience. As of now, I don't have any online content that is not public. And use my real (legal) name including this blog. But luckily, I haven't been a target of online bully so far.

But things are totally different for celebrities. I do send messages or share my comment online (or even send snail mail) to celebrities sometimes because I want to show my positive feeling to them. Of course, for me, that is mostly Sung and that's the whole point of this blog. But I also send a few cheering comments to a few other favorite celebrities. And have I ever said anything negative or some comment that would make the receiver feel down? I might have. Probably 2-3% of my feedback could be seen negatively. Even though my intention is not to hurt their feeling, I might have been too honest. They didn't probably need to see that. But at very least, I have never disguised who I am when I share "not-so-nice" comment.

But being anonymous or not may not be the biggest factor here. If someone see a comment that sounds like attacking the personality, then, it does not matter if it came from someone you know your not. So, I feel sorry if I have ever said something that made Sung feel down. I probably have done that to some of my friends too when I was a lot younger. Well, we cannot always say all "good" things. We may be asked to share our criticism sometimes. And when it is appropriate and make sense to everyone, it should be fair to say something that could sound harsh. We all have to deal with some kind of harshness at some point. But in the worst case, that kind of "harshness" could be the trigger for someone to choose to end his/her life.

I'm not sure about other countries, but we call that as "Celebrity Tax." Being famous comes with a cost. You are a public figure and because of that, you are obligated to bear with all kinds of feedback. But there are so many people who have never receive a proper education about that. And we hear tragedy. In past one month, I found two celebrities I know took their own lives. I haven't sent any comment to them. I just know them online and I thought they are doing great. I enjoy their shows. I had no idea they have been bullied. And it is probably not only online bullied that pushed them to the edge. But that made me think about what I've been doing.

I feel online communication tool is powerful and giving up on that is not the answer. I plan to continue blogging. I love Sung and I want to show my support and share my comment to his activities and works. I know what I say is not always heartwarming. But I should be more careful about what I am writing or what is coming out of my mouth.

Regarding Sung's high school Yearbook photo that he shared his instagram account, I actually like it a lot. The best hair style, indeed. When are you going to do that again?
