Sung's new look

I have never seen Sung with this hair style before. This was was from the recent JUMP promotion event in LA. This reminds me other Korean actors who are famouse and popular these days in Korea. Maybe Sung's stylist suggests Sung to go that direction...? Anyway, I think Sung looks better than many of the popular Korean actors in Korea. I do enjoy many of Korean movies, but none of actors there impressed me more than Sung did. Well, maybe I'm comparing apples vs an orange here.

I also noticed that Sung gained a little weight compared to last time I saw him in person, which is already more than a year ago. I think he looks more healthy in Bloomingdale pictures.

Sung and Victor

I was not able to come to this event earlier this month. Sung helped JUMP's launching event at Bloomingdale in LA on December 6th. I got this event invitation from Victor through facebook a few days before my 3-week business trip to Asia begins. I was in Japan on 12/06... Oh well.

I just grabbed some pix that seem to be taken during this event from Victor's flickr account. Hope it is ok to re-use his pictures here.

I'm interested one of the jump shoes that I found at their online shopping site. I will check them out in NYC next month.

Footballer Chic (2008)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Upt7X0wa2Qc

I cannot tell if Sung is really good at football by looking at this short film. But looks like he likes it anyway.

Sung has been very active lately

Thank you for checking back my blog for my regular readers, if any!

I'm finally back in the states and can resume my blog updating activity.

I saw Sung posted this very short video on his facebook account and thought he has a very good smile there. I grabbed a screenshot as always. Don't you love his smile?

He has been updating his blog very actively recently. I did not finish reading all of them yet. I need to check out his update on MySpace's posting, etc. as well.

I will be out of country for a while

Hello. This is a message for my readers. I won't be able to update this blog from today until around mid December. It does not mean that I am going to stop stalking Sung Kang. I will be flying out of this country starting tomorrow.

Please come back in mid December!

Meanwhile, enjoy reading Sung's writing at www.sungkang.com. He's been very active recently.

Officer Couture (2008)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kxBUzAp_NuE

Many of Sung Kang fans like me must have seen this already because Sung started talking about his works at sungkan.com recently. I'm kind of slow following up on this, but later is better than never.

I found him sexy in this short film. (I know always do, but especially this one.) And I love its BGM. Reminded my New York days. I miss New York...

At least, he was not a bad guy

http://www.cbs.com/primetime/csi/video/video.php?cid=446409122&pid=vYia9X3O4btZ0cJMWbGM2wfRz2SpoXuo&play=true&cc=

I just check this out episode of CSI Las Vegas that I missed on Thursday. Thanks to internet, catching up with the espisode I missed is as easy as just searching and clicking a few times. Unfortunately, Sung was not one of the main characters in this episode. But I was able to capture two images.

Let me put a link to someone else's blog referring to the same episode.

Indie Exec (2008)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIFNLhm_whk

I love Sung in a pink shirt! Well, I love Sung in any kind of shirt anyway, but this hundsome guy once again did an excelleng job presenging 1980s' feeling (if I got it right :p) in NYC.

I suppose I should talk about the shoes he is wearing because it is all about them. Yeah.. all the shoes become sexy once Sung wears them. I should get one of those for my husband, too.

I can't wait to see more clips from JUMP.

Way to go, Sung!

Sneaker Deluxe (2008)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fl7L1DxuLQg

I know I'm slow following up on this. Seems like this is only the beginning of a lot more to come.

It's time for me to go back to NYC to see what else is in JUMP store.

I think it is because I know that Sung has never lived in NYC area that I feel Sung is just a visitor to NYC in this short film. I think it is intended here because they let Sung wear "I love NY" shirt.

BTW, if you are a Sung Kang fan like me, you know that Sung has been showing his support to Obama since a while ago. I think he is really excited to experience the historical moment soon.

In case you are curious, I'm not going to vote this time... well, I'm not an American. :p

Wrong about DPRK's food!

http://elena.ningin.com/2008/10/14/chow-talk-with-sung-kang-part-1/#more-70

I just realized I started with part2 of Elena's article about Sung. In Part1, they talked more about foods. I need to correct Sung about the food in North Korea. I think it's my 3rd or 4th time reading Sung talking about North Korea briefly. It sounds like he does not know much about there. I may know a bit more at least about food. Their foods are not spicier than South's. And it is not as closed as Sung thinks. But I should not blame Sung having limited knowledge about there. It's just Western media don't write positive things about them much. In that sense, US is the one to be called "closed." I hope Sung knows what I mean here.

Sung = good husband?

http://elena.ningin.com/2008/10/17/chow-talk-with-sung-kang-part-2/

Elena, with whom I exchanged messages at a networking site called "Alive Not Dead" before, informed me about her recent phone interview with Sung Kang this week. She is a real writer unlike me -- just writing whatever comes to mind with a lot of typos and gramatical errors. Plus, she directly talked to Sung over the phone! I envy you, Elena~~

In this interview, Sung mentioned about his fiance. It was not my first time reading Sung talking about his fiance in his interview. I guess he is not hiding this at all. To be honest with you, I have even seen the picture in which I can see Sung and Miki together. (Don't ask me to reveal this picture to public. I don't want Sung hates me. I am still not sure if Miki is a Japanese decendant or not... it makes me happy if she is because I'm a Japanese, too.) I have no idea when he will marry her. He should hire my husband to be his wedding photographer -- my husband is a professional photographer (www.photographyjun.com).

By the way, Elena, didn't you steal the first picture in your article from this blog? :) I took the screenshot from Knight Rider. Do I have any portion of copy right? Or am I the one to be accused for piracy?

Regarding today's picture, I stole this from a Japanse guy who went to see K-1 in LA a few years ago. He said he happened to find Sung after K-1 games finished. He asked Sung if he it's ok to take him and got a permission. He said Sung was very nice.

My husband and I watches K-1 on TV sometimes, too. I wonder who is Sung's favorite. Is Sung related to Denis Kang? -- no... I don't think so. Kang is a very common family name in Korea.

long hair vs short hair or no hair?

I saw someone else's blog talking about Sung's hair style.

http://usws.isgreat.org/2008/10/im-cutting-my-hair.html

This gave me a hint for today's article. (Yes. I am running out of my topics...)

Which one of hair styles Sung tried before do you like most?

Honestly, I cannot choose because I love them all. I'm still thinking... which one.... hmm... nop. I cannot choose.

By the way, have anyone even seen Sung in Hanbok - Korean traditional cloth? I'd really love to see him in Hanbok. He may look good with short hair in Hanbok. But if he wear Kimono - Japanese traditonal cloth, he may look better with his long hair. I'm just day-dreaming him in many different clothing... :p

Knight Rider (2008)

I was soooooo happy to see Sung on TV again!

In this episode of Knight Rider, Sung was a bad guy beaten up by the main character at the end. However, I did not really care about any one of the characters in this show anyway. I was simply very happy to see Sung doing great job here ~~~

My husband told me that Sung's name was referred to an article of the Korean online news he reads every day. It was about Ninja Asassin. Yes. Another big movie with Sung is coming ~~

Standoff - Shanghai'd (2006)

http://www.imdb.com/video/hulu/vi708771865/

I was very excited when I found the full episode of Standoff - Shanghai'd is viewable from IMDB. I enjoyed it very much.

But this is the stereotypical Asian American image that Sung'd rather avoide, I suppose. I read an article about Sung saying he had a hard time accepting this. But since it is not really up to him how "Asian American" is portrait in the mainstream TV shows or movies, if Sung does not take this the role, it will be simply taken by some other Asian American actor.

I'm not really sure how it is like being an Asian Americn actor or actress in California, but I remember reading an article about Asian Americans over-representing themselves in media, especially in IT related ads. Computre geeks = Asians. Being an Asian itself already brings pre-defined characteristics, to which sponsors invest.

In my opinion, it is just a matter of the time. I see more and more 2nd or 3rd generation Asian Americans who are not stereotypical at all and people here in US get used to it. But for the poeple in outside US who also watch Holloywood movies regularly may not get used to it as much. I've seen many Asians (well, people I know most are mainly Japanese, though) still believe Americans = WASP. We can see Asians in Asian movies, which we also watch very frequently. Why do we need to see Asians in American movies? -- this may be a question from outside USA. And for the show business industry, the market outside USA is getting even more important than domestic one.

Don't quote on me! I'm just writing whatever comes up on my mind. It does not based on any seriour research. The bottom line is, as always, I want to see Sung Kang in many more TV shows or movies.

I could not see Sung yesterday

I am not as lucky as last year when it comes to the chance of seeing Sung in person. Though I knew that Sung did not mean to actually show up to the even I mentioned in my previous article, I did not completely give up on the possibility last night. So, when I found I cannot meet with him, I was sad. But I won't blame him for his misleading intention in his facebook profile. I kind of knew that he was just showing his support to the event and the organization. Besides, it was good to be there to see some previews of films planned to be shown during the event and I picked up the event program where I found some interesting works. My husband, who accompanied me last night, also said it was good to be there anyway.

I guess I just need to visit his restaurant in LA if I really want to see him again. The odds are better there.

This picture is from UNDOING. I went ahead to take a liberty of edit the screenshot I took. I found some of Sung's fans using images I uploaded in this blog, which is fine. I do not have any distribution right of Sung's images from the first place. I'm the one infringing his intellectual properties or right of publicity, I suppose. But if they can give me some credit, that'll be nice. Just so people will know that I'm the one who capture those screenshots like crazy and edit a little bit before making them viewable online. Am I asking too much here?

Hope Sung can make this one

http://www.apafilm.org/

I was so thrilled when I found Sung plans to attend this event held in DC.

DC APA Film Festival Kick-Off Party

Start Time:
Friday, September 19, 2008 at 9:00pm
End Time:
Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 2:00am
Location:
Temple Lounge (http://www.templeloungedc.com/)
Street:
4001 N. Fairfax Dr. (Metro: Ballston/MU, Orange Line)
City/Town:
Arlington, VA

I am not sure if he truely intends to show up. There is a chance that he is simply showing his support to this group by clicking "attend" button here. But this is the event I met Sung in person for the first time last year, where Finishing the Game was featured. I'm not sure if any of the films shown during this year's event feature Sung Kang. I could not match any title of the movies listed there to what I can find in Sung's IMDB site. So, I don't really know which ticket I should purchase. But even if Sung does not show up, I will probably attend this event because the place is so close to where I work. I work until 8pm on Friday, so, I can just stop by there after that. You gotta be there this Friday, Sung!!!

Have you been to Saketini?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_nVRfmhtjLc

Thanks to my friend, Monica, who often leave some comment in my blog, I found this video on YouTube!

I really want to have a lunch or/and dinner at Saketini! He says his mom's secret sauce is used there. I love Korean food~ But he does not call his restaurant as Korean restaurant, but Asian American restaurant. That's kind of interesting because most of the restarants owned by a Korean, as far as I know in East Coast, focus on the market of Koreans from Korea in USA. There are, of course, many customers who are not from Korea also enjoy Korean foods in such Korean restaurants, but more than 70% of the customers there are Korean, I estimate. My husband - who is a Korean - also told me that the difference between Korean restaurants and Japanese restaurant in USA is that Japanese restaurants in USA do not have Japanese customer from Japan as much. It is probably because there are not that much Japanese from Japan living in USA from the first place. But there is also a marketing issue involved.

Well, I have not been to Saketini, so, I am not in the place of making any judgement to Sung's restaurant here. But my guess from www.saketini.com as well as from this video is that Sung wanted to blend different Asian thinngs and transcend it to a new style. I know he is not the inventer of California Rolls and all, but, you can see that he and his co-owner did a very good job making this restaurant attractive to all kinds of people - Asian or non-Asian Americans.

Speaking of California Roll, I often associate it to Japanese American. You know, many of the things that mainstream Americans believe as from Japan is not really from Japan. The biggest example are Hibachi and California Roll. Since I've grown up in Japan, flankly speaking, I did not really appreciate those fake Japanese things when I first came to the states. But after I spent several years in the states, I started loving them - especially California Rolls and all kinds of American style Rolls that we cannot easily find in Japan. I think it is very reasonable idea to substitude raw fish with avocado and it tastes good! I still enjoy authentic Japanese style food as well, but hey, it is not Japan here. I don't have to stick with authenticity all the time. After all, those are not fake. Those are just differnt version -- Asian-like American food. That's how I started seeing Asian American people, too. They are not fake Asians, they are Asian Americans.

Hmm.. I may have sounded like a snobby Japanese here. But as you know, I'm crazy about Sung Kang! So, you can tell that I don't have any intention to make Asian Americans look bad. It's like this -- I did not know anything about Asian American before and when I got a chance to know some of them for the first time, I felt I was not welcomed by them because I did not speak good English back then. I tend to justify myself as authentic Asian than they are -- which was the same mentality I used to had for Calfornia Rolls. But after while, I realized there is no right or wrong there. Just follow my instinct -- Calfornia Rolls taste good! I love Sung Kang!

It's been a year...

I once again spent quit a bit portion of my weekend to convert Sung's movie on DVD to mp4 format, so I can transfer it to my iPhone.

This one is from iTune Store. If you know there are any other online store from where I can directly download mp4 format clips in which I can see Sung, please let me know. That'll save a lot of my time.

BTW, I saw someone left a message at Sung's Facebook or MySpace asking if Sung is a Korean or Chinese. I guess that is a fair question to ask. But I wonder why not Japanese? Anyway, that question reminded me the first moment I saw Sung on FF3. I kind of knew he is a Korean because many of the guys I fell in love at first sight are Korean. When I confirmed my answer at Wikipedia, I was very happy! Speaking of Wikipedia, I'd better add a link to Sung's page there.

Sung's childhood favorite show = Ultraman

I'm running out of stories about Sung lately. So, let me pull up a story from my old archive.

If you are also a big fan of Sung's, you probably know that Sung likes Ultraman. He says so in his MySpace profile page. So, I grab a small Ultraman Taro figure before I went to see him in person last December. The first picture is the one I took before I gave this to Sung.

I did not know the old episodes of Ultraman show that was popular in Japan in 70s' was shown on American TV. So, when I saw Sung list "Ultraman" as his favorite show, I thought he is talking about the new ones recently imported to the states. There are so many different Ultraman shows in Japan. In fact, they are still making new shows and I have no idea how many Ultramen exits by now.

So, when I met Sung, I asked him how he knew about Ultraman and which one he watched. I was surprised when Sung said he used to watch the show every morning when he was in elementray school. It was broadcasted in Georgia every morning. That must be late 70s's or early 80s'. I did not know that Japanese TV show had been introduced in the states since then.

Sung said he did not know it was from Japan because they all spoke in English. But the show was popular among all kids (boys, I suppose) in his school. And the fact that Ultraman is from Asia (well, that is not exactly true because Ultraman is from the space. But the guy who help Ultraman to stay on the earth in the figure of a normal human on the earth and his friends are all Asians.) helped him feel better in the school.

I think the big one appears in the background of many other Ultramen in the 3rd picture is what Sung used to watch. That guy is the first one appeared on TV, I believe. When I was in elementary school, Taro (the 4th one from the left) was shown as the main character. I forgot which appeared first, but I also remember Leo (the 2nd one from the right) was my most favorite Ultraman. I used to have a big figure of this guy and I played with it alot. Because I grow up with two brothers - older and younger one each with close age with me, I used to watch the shows for boys rather than ones for girls. So, I remember a bit more detail about Ultraman and Mask Rider sereies, which helped me having a fun conversation with Sung.

But Sung seemed to know a lot more than I do. He asked me about the theme park in Japan featuring Ultramen, but I did not know about that. He also asked me if I remember the last episode of Ultraman and how he ended up. I did not remember very clearly. But I did remember a little bit, which Sung did not agree.

Anyway, it was too bad that Sung did not recognize Ultraman Taro I gave him. I picked the wrong one. I should buy the right one for him next time. (Hope next time comes soon...)

Secret Agents Concert?

I found this link is talking about the same event that Sung is scheduled to appear as a presenter:

http://www.citizencorps-escambia.info/international-secret-agents-concert/

It appears that Sung will be there for sure. But unfortunatelly, I cannot come to this event because I live in East Coast at the moment.

Sung keeps updating his plan to attend many events in West or East coasts, but I realized that those are just his wish list because I saw Sun signed up for two events held in CA and NY in the same day. Well, I should not call it as BS, but I wish I can find which event Sung will come for sure.

I sent a message directly to Sung, but I guess I should not except him writing me back all the time (Yes. I have received his response a few times in the past). But I guess he is too busy lately. Hope it is not the message I sent that scared him off.

BTW, this is another screenshot from FF3 taken by my iPhone.

Sung in my iPhone!

I'm so proud of my 3G iPhone. You know why? With this, I can carry Sung's movie all the time with me. If someone wants to see Sung, I can show it to him or her right away. Sooooo handy! I can capture screenshots very easily like this. I started taking even more screenshots. I also found there are many freeware allows me to convert my DVD movies into iPhone compatible digital format. I have already transferred Sung's short film, 9:30 and put that in my iPhone! I still have 8 more GB free space to fill with Sung's movies and pictures ~~

I started seeing more and more people talking about FF4 in their blogs. It's good to see people do not fail to mention Han as well as the rest of main characters. Yeah. Han is so cool.

My daily google alert gave me this link. In addition to this, Sung recently updated his facebook account with his plans. I'm not sure if he really plans to attend all of the events he signed up there, but if that really happens, I'll be extreamly happy! You know why? Some of the events will be held in DC and NY! I have a chance to see him in person again this fall !?

I'm proud to announce that I finally got 3G iPhone and started downloading some TV drama clips that Sung is shown. This is the one I got today from CSI: Miami.

Not bad, right? I got two more screenshots today, but I'm saving them for my future article. :)

I will look for more.

Something you can rent from Blockbuster this weekend

My google alert with keyword, "Sung Kang" detected someone's blog talking about this movie, Forbidden Warrior, I mentioned in April.

http://sungkangfan.blogspot.com/2008/04/forbidden-warrior-2004.html

I think you can find this movie in your nearest Blockbuster store, if any. It seems like people stop going to the video store to rent a movie these days. But someone like my husband still prefer to analog way of choosing a movie. Anyway, it is very good to see the title in which we can see Sung in the store. I did saw this title in at least two Blockbuster stores near my place. I wonder why Sung does not mention about this movie in his web site.

Sung = dancer?

I grabbed this one from JUMP's blog again! I also bought Marie Claire for this ad. :)

I forgot where I read about this, but Sung is a good dancer. Oh... I think I remember now. He talked about his breakdancing in Alive Not Dead. I'm not sure if he is also good at other kinds of dancing, but I want to see him dancing Argentine tango. He should look really sexy there. Is it what they are doing in this ad? Hope I can see him dancing in the up-coming short films.

JUMP store in SOHO NYC

As I planned ealier, I visited NYC this weekend to see how Sung is doing in the ads of JUMP shoes store. This picture is what I took yesterday in SOHO.

According to the store clerk, their campaign featuring Sung has just started and they show me the ad in Marie Clarie September edition. He looked really good there and the shoes the girl was wearing looked very nice too. Unfortunately, the shoes were not available in the store yet. They said they will be there in 2 weeks.

I also asked about the short film featuring Sung, but they said that is not ready, neither, and they are not allow to disclose about it until it becomes available later this month. They suggested me to stay tuned thrugh facebook or send an email to Victor.

I guess I was a bit too early. The campaign seems to be meant for fall season. But at least, I was happy to see one of the new image in the magazine ad. I will buy the magazine and scan the image if I cannot find the same one from JUMP's site.

Sung's mom = Kim Jong Il?

http://www.alivenotdead.com/mrkangsta/mad+max+vs.+kim+jong+il-profile-234152.html

Sung posted another childhood story in his blog recently. As always, he is a great story teller! It's funny that more I read about what Sung has been through, stronger he maks me feel that he is really a Korean. Well, he never said he is not a Korean, but he has been saying that he is an Asian American. No contradition there. But for some reason, I felt Sung would rather say he is an Asian American than Korean American. So, I am kind of surprised when Sung shows his Korean aspect by likening his mom to Kim Jon Il.

Sung does not get political in his blog writing, but I'd like to know more about how he feels about Korea like North and South and history with Japan, etc. They can be very sensitive topics, so, I understand he does not share his thoughts in public. But I'm just curious...

Sung in JUMP CM

I just grabbed this image from JUMP's site. Doesn't Sung look different here? I like it.

I decided to visit JUMP store in NYC next weekend to buy a pair of shoes Sung is advertising and also check out other ads. It's about 5 hours drive from my place to get there, but it's worth spending my whole weekend just too see Sung's ads.

The Slanted Screen (2006)

I don't know anything about this movie except that Sung may be in it. I saw someone refer to this movie in his or her blog, but I'm not sure if Sung is really in this one or not. So, don't blame me if you buy this and find no Sung there.

I will order this next week and found and and take some screenshots.

Sung = a dog lover

As always, this picture has nothing to do with what I'm going to write here. It is from Finishing the Game's bonus feature. (deleted scenes)

I was not sure if I should share what I talked with Sung last year in this kind of public space because it could be a little embarassing to Sung. But I think he wouldn't mind -- he may not even remember.

It's about Sung's dog. You can read about Simba at:

http://www.alivenotdead.com/mrkangsta/Goodbye+old+friend-profile-21176.html

I read this article last summer and felt very sorry for Sung's loss. So, when I got a chance to talk to Sung last December, I asked him, "Do you plan to get yourself a new doggy soon?" His nswer was like this. "No. I lost 3 dogs in last 2 years, was hard. I don't think I feel like getting another dog for a while." Then, I continued:

Mari: Oh. Well, I knew you lost one dog recently, but did not know about the other two.
Sung: You are talking about Simba, right? I used to have another two small ones.
Mari: What happened to them?
Sung: Simba killed them.
Mari: ???
Sung: It was terrible. They were getting along very well when Simba was little, but after Simba has grown, she killed them.
Mari: I did not know Chow is that aggressive type. Simba looked like a very nice doggy.
Sung: She was very good to people, but not to the other dogs.
Mari: Sorry to hear that. Chow is a kind of dogs eaten in China, right? Korean people eat dogs, too.
Sung: Well, Korean pepople don't eat dongs, but not Chow.

You may wonder why I was able to talk to him like this. It was a luck. I was able to walk with him from the club where the party for screening UNDOING was held to the theater. It was about 4 blocks walk in the very cold weather. Sung kept saying "It's sooooo cold!" While we were walking, there were two girls who was walking with Sung and my husband was also next to me. But I felt like I was walking with Sung alone for 4 blocks because I was only looking at Sung! I still remember that time very clearly. There were a few more things we talked about. I will share them later.

I don't know if I can ever get the same kind of chance in the future. But I will keep my eyes on the events he may attend and try coming to see him in person again or visit his restaurant.

What kind of car is Sung driving?

I don't know exactly what is the car Sung is driving, but I saw a picture where Sung is driving a SUV looking car. (**This picture is from BLT and has nothing to do Sung's private life. I'm talking about a picture I saw in another site where stealing image is prohibited. Sorry, I cannot post a link, neither, because it requires you to sign up to create an account first and all the instructions are in Korean.)

Anyway, I think Sung is driving SUV or was until last summer. I'm not the type of girl who care about what car my man should drive, so, I don't mind whatever car Sung drives.... except Hyundai. (Sorry for Hyundai fans.)

Korean music video, featuring Sung Kang

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5ldH9Ctli0

Seems like this music video was made even before "Better Luck Tomorrow," according to:

http://atunes.wordpress.com/2008/07/19/lookin-back-sung-kang-the-mv-star/

I have seen this one a while ago, but I think I've never mentioned about this in my blog. Then, my google alert and a friend who left a comment to my article mention about this video today, and I decided to capture another screenshot from this clip.

Still capture mania = me, again!

I think it's time to reveal that I'm the contributor of the profile picture that Sung is using for his MySpace, IMDB, and facebook. (There may be some more, but these 3 are the ones I know for sure). Well, maybe I should not call myself as a contributor because all I did was taking a screenshot from Sung's short film, 9:30, and then, edited a little bit (resizing, adjusting contrast, and etc.) before sending it to Sung through facebook.

I was soooooo excited when I heard back from Sung saying that he will use this picture as his profile picture and he did so very quickly! This picture I'm posting here is not exactly the same one, but taken shortly before or after the one used as Sung's profile picture, which I posted in my blog earlier, too:

Can you tell Sung's facial expression is slightly different there?

Kids lover

I grabbed this picture newly uploaded to Sung's MySpace photo album. I like his way of holding kids like this.

I've seen a similar picture before in which Sung is holding two Asian kids, who look like his nephew and niece. He must be a really nice cool uncle for them. I wish I have an uncle like Sung.

Stay tuned on Sung's other blog

** Hope it's ok that I stole this image from another site... Sorry, if it was not ok... I will replace with something else later. **

I just found Sung posted another story from his childhood memory in his blog in Alive Not Dead site. Like before, I really really enjoyed what he wrote!

But I also realized that if I were actually there in his school, I may have been the one who treat him bad. I was a mean kid when I was aroun 12 years old. And I used to pick one guy who is too nice to strike back to my harrassement. He may have been my target if he was in my class. :p

Looking back my past, I remember that I used to tease a lot of gentle boys by calling them by funny nick names, etc. I even sometimes kicked their butts. I don't know why I was so sadistic back then. I guess I just did not like the idea that girls should be polite, modist, and reserved. So, I wanted to show my wild side. But I knew that I cannot compete against strong boys. So, I picked gentle boys only. Now I feel sorry to them. Sung's story brought my old memories back.

Small world

My co-worker sent me a link to the youtube clip which was the same one I intorduced last month here. He is a Korean Chinese American guy from New York. He said the girl who is interviewing Sung is actually his friend. Wow... I did not know that Asian American community is that cozy.
