Cooking bulgogi

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHwNbluXNVU

I knew that Sung is running Saketini in LA, but I did not know he takes care of cooking part as well. I know the main shef cooks more than bulgogi, but Sung's way of cooking looks professional in this video, too. I enjoyed his hair w/o a hair stylist, too.

Sung's eyebrows

One of my friends told me that my husband looks like Sung a little bit. Well, I don't agree, though I wish that's true. But there is one common thing between Sung and my husband. Both are Koreans.

Did you know how to distinguish Korean from Japanese or Chinese? Eyebrows. My husband's eyebrows looks similar. From the center, first half looks like a straight line, then, it goes multi-directions. I think I see this type of eyebrows often among Korean guys, but not among Japanese or Chinese guys.

Making of JUMP ads

I grabbed one image from Sung's MySpace. Looks like another pre-edit photo from his recent job. Can't wait to see the completed version. I should start planning visiting NYC this summer and stop by the store in SOHO.

I found about more photos were posted on Sung's MySpace from someone's blog article captured by my daily google alert:

http://www.slanteyefortheroundeye.com/search/label/Sung%20Kang

Sung = heart warming guy

I just read his latest writing at Alive not Dead page:

http://www.alivenotdead.com/mrkangsta/

Hilarious! I confirmed I've been right about Sung Kang. He is such an excellent story teller with warm personality. Someone who knows how to make other people smile and laugh is very fortunte, I think.

This pix is from the bonus feature of "Finishing the Game."

Sung as a judge

Today's google alert delivered this link to my inbox:

Another aspect of Sung's. I admire his active involvement to this type of event.

Tae Do - still going on...

I was not able to take a clean screenshot from this clip. So, I had to use my digital camera to take a shot of my computer monitor. :p

My friend has better images uploaded to her blog. Check them out at:

http://sungkangfans.blogspot.com/2008/06/madtv-season-13-episode-13-downloadable.html

This hair style reminded me another Korean actor from the TV drama, LOST. I am not following up the latest episodes, but I watched all of the episodes up to season 3. It is interesting that the actors and actresses we can see in TV dramas are not the same people we see in the movies. There are some overwraps, of course. But things are very different in Japan. Those who take the main roles in the movies are also very popular on TV shows. I heard the way of generating revenue in Japanese show business industry is totally differnt. That may be the reason I cannot find truly good young movie actors/actresses from Japan. I love seeing Korean actors from Korea doing Japanese roles in Holloywood movies. But I wonder why not from Japan? I cannot think of any good actor from Japan doing the main guy in the kind of movies Sung would also take a part. Oh well...

Anyway, as long as I can see Sung, TV or movie does not matter to me! (BTW, in case you are wonder, I'm from Japan.)

images from bonus feature

I took many images from bonus feature of Finishing the Game on DVD. I will use those images one by one. :)

I enjoyed deleted scenes a lot especially the one featuring Jason Tobin. It was unfortunate that Justin had to delete whole scenes for this role, but it made a perfect bonus feature.

I highly recommend everyone purchase Finighing the Game on DVD to study more about what Justin wanted to say.

Thanks to google alert, I can check out all of the articles published recently with key words, "Sung Kang."

Pearl Harbor (2001)

This was filmed prior to BLT. I did watched this movie in 2001 or so, and remember there was one Japanese role there. But I did not know it's Sung until I see his filmgraphy in IMDB.

I bought this DVD just to check Sung. I recognized his voice right away, but it took me a bit of time before I recognize his face. I think one of the reasons people are not too crazy about this movie is that the director did not show Sung long enough. Well, I may be wrong about this movie, but I just wish I could see Sung longer.

What makes Sung so hot?

This picture was taken by me with my cheap Pentax. So, the qality is not excellent, but at least, it is not a stolen image from another site.

It's been more than 6 months since I last saw Sung. But I am not complaining. As long as I can see him doing great in his industry, I am very happy.

I think he is the type of the person who constantly strives for better in many sense. I really admire his positive attitide toward everything except to the executives of nasty oil companies. :p

http://sungkang.com/category/gasolina/

I heard he has a degree in Political Science from UCLA. I wonder what made him choose this area of study. But this is one of the factors making him so special. I think he tend to think deep and trying to do things make others feel happy. I've seen a lot of people talking about his impression this way - he knows how to make people feel happy. That may be a secret of his sexiness? I know it does not sound straight forward. kindness = sexiness... I just can't help analyzing who he is.

Tatoo on Sung's back!

I was browsing facebook and found this picture from:
Wow~~ I have never seen Sung in this type of role... yakuza, maybe? Now you know what I'd say looking at this picture? -- I wish I were the tatoo on his back!

We are Sung's online stalkers

Looks like I'm not the only one cyber stalking Sung! I'm really glad to know other girls as crazy about Sung as I am. Thanks to them, I have access to more info about him that I could've never reached without. Sharing! What a wonderful word.

I wish I were the water melon!

Another still from Finishing the Game. When I saw him eating a slice of water melon, I wish I were the water melon. When I saw him eating french flies, yes, I wish I were the french flies. :)

I love chubby Sung, too!

Yeah! I finally received Finishing the Game on DVD on Monday! As usual, I captured still images for my blog. Look at him! This was filmed not too long ago, but he used to have at least 10 extra pounds? I think his face changed a lot in 2007. When I first met him in person while he was on the grass root champaign in DC, it was not hard for me to recognize. But when I met in for the second time in NYC in December 2007, I was not able to recognize him when I first saw him. He was the one who found me first, in fact, believe or not. He stood up and walked toward me to say hi to me first, believe or not. He said, "Hey, I know you." to me.

Well, I don't know what happened to him after I saw in for the first time, but he looked very differnet. Maybe he got a new stylist or trainer to give him an advice? He looks very very good these days and seems like he has expanded his field to fashion industry. But I still love him in this movie. I have read a magazine article about Sung having been more chubby when he was a kid. I want to see his childhood picture! I'm sure I'm going to love it, too! But for his career, it was a good move that he trimmed a few extra pounds, I suppose.

Sung will be in ads of a famous shoe brand

Another very good information from someone who posted a comment in my previous articles. Sung will be featured in the ad of a famouse shoe brand, JUMP.

How exciting! It is my first time seeing Sung in regent style hair like this. I can't wait to see the completed version of photos and videos.

I read about this brand and found that they are doing great in Asia and Europe. Fairly new in Japan and USA, but is aggressiving expanding the markets. They seems to have already well established in China and Europe, which may be more important markets in next decades.

http://nyu.facebook.com/group.php?gid=8724496244

I hope nobody minds I stole this image from this group...

President Gin Kew Yun Chun Yew Nee

I am running out of my stock of Sung's pictures and started stealing images from someone else's blog. Sorry. But I have a full copy right on this one because it was taken by my husband. Well, it's 6 month old, but not too bad, right? And as usual, the title has nothing to do with this picture.

Yes! I watched Sung in MadTV today! Excellent new episode has just started. I want to see this be continued with Sung's part longer. No offense to Bobby Lee, but I wish I could see his part longer at the cost of other people's. :p

Sung was in Taiwan!

http://weblog.xanga.com/vixstar/660045034/the-second-day-of-taiwan.html

Thanks to my friend who left a comment here, now I know the picture I was talking about was taken in Taiwan. Wow~ Sung has been everywhere!

I also found that his Korean drama parody series (season 2?) will be on MadTV tonight! Hope someone will upload the clip to youtube soon.

Sung@Chinese Restaurant

I saw this picture used in a Chinese newspaper. Sorry, I don't really have any information about what it is about and when it was taken, etc. But I just want to share this one here. I think it was taken not too long ago.

Thanks to this newspaper, I now know how to spell Sung Kang in Chinese. It's 姜成. If you are an Asian, you may know that the last name comes first. So, 姜=Kang, and 成=Sung.

I'm glad to know that he is popular among Chinese American communiy as well.

Dream, lover (2004?)

Thanks to Cris who left a commet to my previous article, I just saw Sung's another short film called, "dream, lover". I am not sure when this was filmed, but it was in 2004 skyPod Shorts, so, this must be filmed in or before 2004.

http://www.cherryskyfilms.com/shorts/parent.swf

I wonder why this one is not listed in
I think Sung does really excellent in short films. He is a short film type of actor, definately, positively.
