Back in NYC today?

A photo posted by Jonathan Fregoso (@jawkneeee_) on

It seems Sung is back in NYC today. I saw him posted a short video of a young pianist playing in 34th street station of NYC Metro. That's exactly where I was two weeks ago. I saw the same boy playing the same music at a different corner of the same station.

Anyway, I feel good when I found him doing something similar to what I was doing recently.

===========

Recently, Sung retweeted a link to an article written 10 years ago:

http://www.backstage.com/news/sung-from-the-heart/

This was written before I start blogging here or even before Tokyo Drift released in theaters. A bit more details about how the character, "Han," was developed back then. Interesting!

By the way, I really like Sung in the bottom half of the photo below.

This was posted by one of my very good friends who is as crazy as I am when it comes to Sung. She did this small project and came out pretty good. Let me explain what she did here.

She started her instagram account, just so she can talk about how much Sung means to her, as well as within all the good things to the rest of the world. Her daily post includes a lot of kinds words and sincere message, not only about Sung, but also for whomever happen to see her post.

After building a solid community consisting other huge fans of Sung Kang's, she made this suggestion -- why don't you guys share your most favorite pic of Sung with me? I will make a collage out of them, and post in my account!

I was also invited, but I couldn't join -- I just have so many favorites, and couldn't pick one. But I was so glad to see this because there were so many joined her movement. Isn't this great?

The only thing made her sad is that she ended up getting no "like" from Sung himself. I'm not sure how much I can help her here, but I can at least explain what she tried. All I can do is Japanese to English translation. Though it's not perfect, let me try:

2017 Jan 23 Monday - Good morning. Along with other fans, I put together this collage to express my appreciation to you. Thank you for making us being so in love with you. We are receiving a lot of love from you. These photos are chosen by each fan participated my project. The message at the center was created by me. Hope you like it. When you are having a hard time or about to lose faith in what you are doing, please think of us. There are so many and all kinds of fans of yours all over the World. We will continue rooting you as much as we can. Therefore, hope you know we are here, and remember us from time to time. We love you. Please take care of yourself. For those participated my project, thank you very much! I know you all are busy. All of these "Sung" are wonderful. Some, I've never seen in the past. Impressed! No wonder you all are so in love with Sung. Let's hope Sung like this. Let me join you continue rooting Sung. Wish you all a great day!

Let' see if Sung can "like" this post now...

Excellent character development

https://123movies.is/film/hollywood-adventures-4160/watching.html
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4115932/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_10

So, it's been a few weeks past since 2017 started, and I already forgot what my new year resolution was. I am not contributing to anything lately. What can I do to improve myself? What can I do for society? I know I can't do anything big. So, I just need to try focusing one thing I'm really good at. Watch all Sung Kang movies!

So, I searched this movie, "Hollywood Adventure," and it was actually surprisingly easy to find a web site where I can watch this movie online without any cost or even advertisement. Not sure how legit this version is, but hey, I tried to locate it in regular sites like Amazon/Netflix/iTunes store first. But no luck.

Anyway, glad I could finally watch this movie. Though the scenes we can see Sung were limited, I didn't have to fast forward to search his part because the movie itself was pretty interesting. It's a comedy flavored for Mainland of Chinese Market. It's interesting to see what is the image of USA that the audience in China would accept. I suppose USA is still pretty far and unfamiliar country for most of Asians. But it's just a comedy and there is no need to be serious about reality here as long as it is enjoyable. And it was indeed pretty enjoyable.

I think the best part of this movie is how each character is developed. There are many minor characters, but all of them are well defined and vivid, making it easier for the audience to follow the story. It was hard to read English subtitles because it seems to have been done by non-professional person, but it was not too hard to understand what's going on, though I wish I understand Mandarin.

Speaking of understanding Mandarin, I actually took Chinese conversation lesson for 2 years. But I never improved. I can still say many sentences. But I don't know when to use them appropriately. Being a Japanese is a slight advantage when learning Chinese because we can read Chinese characters. But how they sound and how we need to compose sentences are completely different. But I still feel ashamed when I see non-Asian people speaks Chinese better than I do. I just found one of my colleague - a while guy - speaks pretty good Chinese. Do I sound racist?

Well, we all have some idea about how each group of people of a specific race or the origin of the country is like. We just don't talk about that too openly in public. Movies are one of good ways to find out what they really think about the other group.

I just found another pre-produciton movie listed in IMDB:

Sung is a busy man!

Just found old photos

So, I did a quick search and found these photos! These must be taken a while ago after "The Motel" was shot. The boy must be an adult by now.

Frequency of selfie

Belated Happy New Year to all!

If you are my blog reader, I'm sure you are following Sung's instagram account, too and saw the same picture. It's always my conflict -- should I just embed his post here? Or look for somewhere else, so that my blog readers can see something they may not have seen before.

I just updated my featured photos in my Facebook account. We can specify up to 5 photos as "featured photos," and view of those are not restricted. So, I went ahead to choose 3 of my favorite shots with Sung, and removed the one with my hubby. Don't worry. It does not mean we fought recently. (lol~) My hubby does not want his images to be displayed online anyway. And he doesn't do Facebook, neither. Then, why did I do that?

Obviously, those photos are truly my favorites. Plus, I recently get re-connected with some of my friends from my high school time. Many of them do not even know I stopped living in Japan a while ago. I was pretty much disconnected with most of them for a long time. They started having annual reunion lately for which, Facebook Page was created. I joined there though I cannot make the reunion in person. When I see a name familiar to me, I briefly check how they are doing by clicking their profile link. Unfortunately, we are not true SNS generation, and it's rare to see someone like me sharing many photos. But I can still get some idea like how they are doing. I'm not sure how many of the members there would click my profile link to find out how I'm doing. But I thought it'll be fun if they find my favorite photos with Sung. I'm sure some of them will recognize Sung and say, "Wow, she married with a Hollywood star?" Well, just for fun or to make a discussion point for next time I see them in person.

Somehow, I used to enjoy people making a rumor about me. I wasn't that famous or popular type of high school girl, but somehow, many people knew about me and would talk about me. I didn't mean to stand out, but I didn't want to restrict myself within a "common sense." I believed in my own "common sense" somehow. I know this does not make any sense, but one example of strange stuffs I did when I was in the classroom is that I painted my desk to blue. I kind of knew nobody else does something like that. But I just didn't want to make it as a reason for me not to do.

Hope my old schoolmates find my featured photos and start their own story about me. What Mari has been doing since she graduated from the high school in Japan? How did she end up with taking 3 different photos with "Wild Speed" guy --- that's how "Fast and Furious" called in Japan. Let's see if that works.

By the way, we must remind Sung that we don't mind seeing more selfie posted on instagram or Twitter. Actually, we do need more of you! It's good to see that you share stuffs caught your attention or helping your friend works to get noticed. But we need to see you more frequently.

Just like the one posted for New Year greeting. That's it! Great smile. Gorgeous guy is gorgeous.
